Joe Biden Slams Trump For “Deliberate Divison” Of Country At 2020 Campaign Event [VIDEO]

Joe Biden rebuked President Donald Trump again on Tuesday, blasting him for dividing the country.

Speaking on ABC’s Good Morning America, the former vice president and 2020 Democratic presidential candidate revealed his motto, which is a twist on Trump’s “Make America Great Again” slogan: “Make America Moral Again.”

Biden, 76, has slammed Trump multiple times since the latter took office in January 2017.

“Make America return to the essence of who we are, the dignity of the country, the dignity of people, treating our people with dignity,” Biden said. “End this god-awful, deliberate division that’s being taken in order to — separating people to aggrandize his own power.”

Biden, who officially announced his 2020 presidential run last week, raised a whopping $6.3 million in his first day of fundraising. Last week, Trump mocked Biden by calling him “sleepy Joe.”

Aside from calling for greater unity, Biden also offered remarks on the result of Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s Russia investigation report. The former vice president said he believed there was “without any question” Russia meddling during the 2016 election and that Congress should act swiftly to assess whether or not Trump obstructed justice by trying to block the inquiry.

“There are elements in the report, in the second phase of the report, about seven or eight things that are left undone — it was not in his purview to investigate, so he thought,” Biden said of the probe. The former vice president argued that Congress should — and is — attempting to tie up those loose ends, refusing to rule out impeachment “based on what they find.”

“If in fact they blocked the investigation,” Biden said, lawmakers “have no alternative but to go to the only other constitutional resort they have, is impeachment.”

Biden also addressed the accusations from women who said they felt uncomfortable with his excessive touching. Although Biden did not apologize outright, he vowed to be more “sensitive” going forward to people’s desire for personal space.

Biden’s wife Jill also defended her husband, saying dozens of people have reached out to him over the years for comfort.

“I think what you don’t realize is how many people approach Joe,” Jill told Politico. “Men and women, looking for comfort or empathy. But going forward, I think he’s going to have to judge, be a better judge, of when people approach him, how he’s going to react. That he maybe shouldn’t approach them.”
