Donald Trump Reportedly Missed WWI Memorial Service In France Because He Was Worried About His Hair

President Donald Trump received a lot of deserved criticism this week from both sides of the political aisle for missing Veterans Day memorial services both at home and abroad, and now we know an additional reason for his decision to skipping the events: he was concerned about his hair.

“He was worried his hair was going to get messed up in the rain,” a source told Vanity Fair. “[John] Bolton and everyone was telling him this was a big mistake.”

The White House had first announced that Trump would miss Saturday’s World War I memorial service in Belleau, Aisne, in France near Paris because of the rain. Then, several news outlets began reporting that the president didn’t want to cause more traffic in Paris with his motorcade. Several other world leaders like French President Emmanuel MacronGerman Chancellor Angela Merkel and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau attended the ceremony. Trump also failed to attend a memorial at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

It seems Trump is prone to “bad hair days,” and now it has clearly reached a new absurd level since he appears to use this as an excuse for his mistakes.

Trump’s failure to attend these Veterans Day ceremonies comes amid multiple other controversies he and his administration have become embroiled in, like the White House’s decision to ban CNN reporter Jim Acosta from press conferences. CNN announced it would sue the White House, and several other news outlets including ABC News, NBC News, Bloomberg, POLITICO and Fox News are reportedly backing the lawsuit. Trump is also facing severe criticism over his decision to replace Jeff Sessions with Matt Whitaker as Attorney General.

First Lady Melania Trump also ordered this week that Deputy National Security Adviser Mira Ricardel be fired, amid reports that the two women clashed on several issues earlier this year.
