Trump Responds To Sexual Assault Accuser E. Jean Carroll: “She’s Not My Type”

President Donald Trump responded to a rape accusation from advice columnist E. Jean Carroll on Monday by vehemently denying the alleged assault and by asserting “she’s not my type.”

Carroll claimed in a New York magazine op-ed published Friday that Trump assaulted her in a department store dressing room in the mid-1990s.

“I’ll say it with great respect: Number one, she’s not my type. Number two, it never happened. It never happened, ok?” Trump told The Hill.

Carroll — who is the 16th woman to accuse Trump of sexual misconduct — said in two cable news interview that she was mulling pressing charges against the president.

“I am so glad I’m not his type,” Carroll said of Trump’s response.

Trump has responded to other sexual assault accusers in similar ways to his reaction to Carroll’s claims, something the Elle magazine writer noted and bemoaned.

“He’s denied all 15 women who have come forward. He denies. He turns it around. He threatens, and he attacks,” Carroll said of the former Apprentice star on CNN.

Trump also claimed to have “never met” Carroll, although a photo showing the pair meeting around 1987 quickly began circulating on social media.

“Standing with a coat in a line — give me a break — with my back to the camera,” he added. “I have no idea who she is,” Trump insisted in comments to ABC News.
