Robert Mueller‘s full redacted report on his two-year-long investigation into Russian meddling during the 2016 election was released Thursday morning, and it revealed many damning statements and facts about President Donald Trump, including Trump’s fear that his time in office would soon end upon learning of the special counsel’s appointment.
“This is terrible. This is the end of my presidency,” Trump reportedly said. “I’m f—ed.”
Trump also reportedly became verbally aggressive in 2017 with then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions after he recused himself from the Russia inquiry in March of that year. Mueller also said in his report that Trump accused him in complaints to his aides of having conflicts of interest and thus considered him unfit to serve as special counsel. Mueller was appointed on May 17, 2017 to conduct the Russia probe, shortly after Trump fired then-FBI Director James Comey.
