Democrats had to flip just two seats to regain control of the Senate. Big GOP Senate winners on Tuesday included Indiana’s Mike Braun, who unseated Democratic Rep. Joe DonnellyTennessee Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn, who beat Democrat Phil Bredesen, and incumbent Texas Sen. Ted Cruz beat Democratic Rep. Beto O’Rourke in a race that was closely followed on a near-national level.

Democrats are on track to win at least 34 House seats before polls even closed on the West Coast.
