President Donald Trump’s approval rating is 43 percent, according to a new poll from Georgetown.
On Wednesday’s episode of Lou Dobbs Tonight, the Fox Business host and Trump favorite got those numbers wrong. And by Thursday morning, Trump tweeted about them.
“Great news! #MAGA,” he wrote alongside the incorrect infographic.

The graphic incorrectly showed that 55 percent of the respondents approve of the president but the figure was actually his disapproval rating.

“This graphic is incorrect,” Mo Elleithee, the executive director of Georgetown’s Institute of Politics and Public Service, replied.
“There’s a problem — it’s totally inaccurate. It’s false,” said Mika Brzezinski on Morning Joe of the fake polling data.
While Joe Scarborough accused Trump of spreading “fake news” since he has yet to delete the poll from his Twitter. “It does say something, that he’s shameless and he’s kept it up on his news feed, once again creating his own reality,” Scarborough said.
Fox Business issued an on-air correction Thursday.
“It’s been a quiet start to the day for President Trump, though he did send out a tweet this morning from the Lou Dobbs show last night on Fox Business,” Washington correspondent Blake Burman said on behalf of Fox Business. “That tweet featured a poll that was not entirely accurate, which Fox Business would like to correct.”
