Mueller’s decision to not provoke Trump further may be warranted, as Trump has repeatedly sneered at the probe. The president recently called the raid on Michael Cohen’s office and home a “witch hunt” and “an attack on our country.”
However, Trump also tweeted about his willingness to work with Mueller on Thursday.
“I have agreed with the historically cooperative, disciplined approach that we have engaged in with Robert Mueller (Unlike the Clintons!),” Trump wrote on Twitter. “I have full confidence in Ty Cobb, my Special Counsel, and have been fully advised throughout each phase of this process.”
