President Donald Trump‘s job approval rating has plummeted to 40%, with 54% disapproving, in a new Gallup poll released Monday. Trump had registered some of the highest numbers of his term in the last few weeks in the wake of the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. The drop comes as a spate of bad news has plagued the starting with arrest of Cesar Sayoc, who is accused of sending pipe bombs to 14 top Democrats. On Sunday, Robert Bowers allegedly killed 13 people at a synagogue in Pittsburgh. Trump’s tone-deaf reaction has further weakened his position.
