President Donald Trump is shifting his attacks to former Vice President Joe Biden in an effort to convince voters that Democrats are trying to steal the Democratic nomination from Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders

After Super Tuesday, Biden is the new Democratic frontrunner for the nomination. Republicans are escalating their attacks on an candidate they were almost certain would lose just last week. Trump’s campaign had been preparing for a clash with Sanders, a self-described Democratic socialist whose policies  threaten to turn away affluent voters who decisively swung to Democrats in the 2018 midterm elections.

Sam Nunberg, a former Trump aide, said, “Not only has the last 96 hours brought a seismic shift in the Democrat primary but the trajectory of the general election is now completely different.”

Most of the attacks are personal rather than based on policies. Just on Super Tuesday the GOP released a video on Twitter of Biden messing up a line from the Declaration of Independence.
