Trump Insists Special Forces Dog Conan, Who Aided In ISIS Leader’s Killing, Is Male Despite Photo Showing Female Genitalia

President Donald Trump’s administration has flip-flopped on the gender of the “hero” special forces dog, Conan, who helped the U.S. track the ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi in Syria. At a White House ceremony to honor Conan last week, Trump referred to the dog as a “he.”  Shortly thereafter, the White House issued a statement that Conan is female. Then, the White House issued a correction of the correction stating that Conan is, in fact, male.

Press analysis of photos of Conan shows the dog to have female genitalia; leading critics to wonder why the president would falsely claim the dog is male.

Conan has still not completely recovered from his injuries.
