Rudy Giuliani Says Donald Trump Will ‘Easily’ Win Second Term, Especially If ‘Moron’ Biden Runs

Rudy Giuliani, President Donald Trump’s personal attorney and failed 2008 presidential candidate, predicts an easy re-election for Trump in the 2020 elections.

“They need someone new, who would be more threatening to us,” Giuliani said of potential Democratic opponents to The Huffington Post. “They’ve got to hit us with a surprise.” He added, “The unknown frightens me more than Elizabeth Warren or Biden.”

Giuliani dedicated several more comments to personally attacking former Vice President Joe Biden.

“Joe Biden is a moron,” Giuliani said. The Post reports that he claimed Biden was unable to understand issues Giuliani has attempted to discuss with him in the past and that Biden finished last in his Syracuse University law class. “I’m calling Joe Biden a mentally-deficient idiot.”

He also said Biden, 75, too old, and said he was four years older than Trump, 72.

In a poll conducted by independent research company SSRS for CNN, 58 percent of Americans saw Biden favorably as of January 2018, with 28% viewing him unfavorably. Compared to this, Trump’s approval ratings have hovered in the 30’s and 40’s throughout his presidency. Giuliani claimed Democrats would damage themselves should former President Barack Obama, whose approval ratings are at 63 percent according to a recent Gallup poll, campaign for Democratic congressional candidates in the fall.

Giuliani told the Post he believes should Democrats take the chamber in November, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D–Calif.) would have possible basis to seek an impeachment vote in light of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election. He stated that Pelosi would not do so, as she witnessed the result of Republicans voting to impeach former President Bill Clinton in the 1990’s, saying, “She’s seen this before.”
