Biden Achieves Highest Approval Rating Since November

A new poll marked a four-point increase in approval rating for President Joe Biden, his highest since November.

The poll from the Financial Times and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business found Biden’s approval rating at 43%, an uptick from his rating in March.

It also found that 41% of registered voters approved his economic policies, a five-point increase from March.

The poll compared Biden to Donald Trump and found that 41% of voters trust Trump more than Biden on the economy, 35% trust Biden over Trump, and 16% trust neither.

The poll is a win for Biden, who has rarely broken 40% in recent months. An ABC News/Ipsos poll in January found that his approval rating dropped to 33%, and a Gallup survey in February marked it as 38%.

The new poll was conducted at the beginning of the month and included 1,010 registered voters. It has a margin of error of plus or minute 3.1 percentage points.
