Conway called a New York Times report from earlier this week “flabbergasting.” The report was about Trump’s former lawyer John Dowd’s alleged discussions regarding potential pardons for Michael Flynn and Paul Manafort, two former White House officials, as special counsel Robert Mueller focused on the two men.

The post stressed the importance of the lawsuit filed by Stormy Daniels, the porn star who claims she had an affair with the president. A separate post noted Trump’s lack of public events this week.
George Conway admitted on Wednesday that the unverified Twitter account is in fact his. He did not immediately reply to follow-up questions about his re-tweets that suggested he may be against Trump.
Conway also voiced concern in 2017 over a tweet from Trump about the Department of Justice’s dealing with a proposed immigration ban that affected multiple Muslim-majority nations.
The tweet “may make some ppl feel better, but they certainly won’t help [the Office of Solicitor General] get 5 votes in SCOTUS, which is what actually matters,” Conway wrote at the time.
He later defended the posts, writing: “Just to be clear, and in response to inquiries, I still VERY, VERY STRONGLY support POTUS, his Admin, policies, the executive order and of course, my wonderful wife.”
Conway also retweeted this recent tweet from CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins about Trump’s constant contradiction of himself and how this puts White House officials in a difficult position:
