Republican congressional candidate Danielle Stella had her Twitter account permanently suspended after repeatedly violating the platform’s rules. Her most recent post on Tuesday suggests killing Rep. Ilhan Omar: “If it is proven @IlhanMN passed sensitive info to Iran, she should be tried for #treason and hanged.”
Stella’s campaign account tweeted a link reinforcing her remark accompanied by a stick figure body hanging. After having her account permanently deleted, Stella attacked Twitter. “Twitter will always side with and fight to protect terrorists, traitors, pedophiles, and rapists,” she wrote.

This is not been the first time politicians have neglected to abide by Twitter’s regulations. President Donald Trump’s notorious tweets are a prime example of politicians violating rules on social media platforms. Trump’s tweets often go against Twitter regulations by posting content suggesting bullying and threatening harm.
