Bush was taken to Houston Methodist Hospital on Monday morning due to an infection.

“President Bush was admitted to the Houston Methodist Hospital yesterday morning after contracting an infection that spread to his blood,” a statement released by his office read. “He is responding to treatments and appears to be recovering.”

His office will issue updates as they come.
