Donald Trump Calls Robert Mueller’s Investigations “McCarthyism At Its Worst”
On Sunday, President Donald Trump lashed out at Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his Russia investigations, calling it “McCarthyism” — a reference to Senator Joseph R. McCarthy’s persecution of suspected communist sympathizers in the 1950s,.
….and have demanded transparency so that this Rigged and Disgusting Witch Hunt can come to a close. So many lives have been ruined over nothing – McCarthyism at its WORST! Yet Mueller & his gang of Dems refuse to look at the real crimes on the other side – Media is even worse!

The president’s comparison of the special counsel’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and the trials of McCarthyism was just one part of Trump’s Twitter storm on Sunday. In addition, he blamed Mueller, saying he made McCarthy “look like a baby” and called the entire probe a “Witch Hunt” again. The president also called the New York Times “fake news,” for its story on White House Counsel Don McGahn.

McGahn’s lawyer, William A. Burck, said that McGahn had been obliged to cooperate with the special counsel. “President Trump, through counsel, declined to assert any privilege over Mr. McGahn’s testimony, so Mr. McGahn answered the special counsel team’s questions fulsomely and honestly, as any person interviewed by federal investigators must,” he said.
