Fox Business Fires Host Trish Regan, Who Called Coronavirus An “Impeachment Scam”
Fox Business announced on Friday that it decided to dismiss Trish Regan, who earlier this month dismissed the coronavirus pandemic as a conspiracy to impeach President Donald Trump.
“We thank her for her contributions to the network over the years and wish her continued success in her future endeavors,” the network said in a statement. “We will continue our reduced live primetime schedule for the foreseeable future in an effort to allocate staff resources to continuous breaking news coverage on the Coronavirus crisis.”
Regan faced criticism earlier this month for suggesting the coronavirus was an “impeachment scam.” She claimed that “many in the liberal media” were using the pandemic “in an attempt to demonize and destroy” the president, and accused Democratic critics of creating “mass hysteria to encourage a market sell-off.”

Following that monologue and in the widespread criticism of her comments, Fox’s Business Network removed her show from its lineup.
“I have enjoyed my time at FOX and now intend to focus on my family during these troubled times,” Regan said in a statement on Friday. “I am grateful to my incredible team at FOX Business and for the many opportunities the network has provided me. I’m looking forward to this next chapter in my career.”
