Conservative televangelist Pat Robertson has spoken out against police brutality.
In a video statement, Robertson declared that he is “pro-police” and that the public needs “the police [and] their service… they do a good job.”
Robertson did not shy away from calling out violence against black Americans, stating that the police should “stop this onslaught… they cannot do this.”
Robertson even referenced a recent incident involving Lieutenant Caron Nazario, a black and Latino man who was pepper sprayed and pushed to the ground by Virginia police last December due to a missing license plate. “The police in Virginia picked up a lieutenant in the army and began to give him trouble… stop this,” he said.
