At a royal reception for the NATO Summit in London on Tuesday, the British Royal Family cordially received dignitaries from the allied countries. The Trumps were graciously received by the matriarch, the British Queen Elizabeth II. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump were treated like royalty by the queen herself.

However, not every blue-blooded Brit seemed to be enamored of the first couple. Queen Elizabeth’s daughter Princess Anne appeared to snub the president and Melania when the Queen asked her to shake their hands.

The iconoclastic princess eschewed royal titles for her children and worked diligently despite being entitled to idle. She became a regal trendsetter when she divorced her husband.

Anne apparently had the temerity to defy her royal mother at the NATO summit in London and ignore the president and the first lady. Although there is some ambiguity about whether Anne actually disobeyed the monarch or simply pointed out to the queen that it was only her and other members of the royal household in the line, the First Couple noticed that Anne did not greet them and that she nonchalantly shrugged at her marquee mother.

Anne won brownie points on social media after snubbing the Trumps.
