BERNIE SANDERS AGREES WITH CARDI B ON SOCIAL SECURITY

Cardi B expressed her interest on Social Security last week in her interview with GQ, noting how she is engrossed in political science. “I love government. I’m obsessed with presidents. I’m obsessed to know how the system works,” she said.

She explained that she has a deep admiration for President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in particular, citing how “this man was suffering from polio at the time of his presidency, and yet all he was worried about was trying to make America great—make America great again for real. He’s the real ‘Make America Great Again,’ because if it wasn’t for him, old people wouldn’t even get Social Security.”

The independent Vermont senator likewise shares her passion for Social Security, as demonstrated by his tweet on Wednesday morning:

Sanders isn’t a stranger to referencing rap artists, previously tweeting a Jay-Z interview back in 2016 concerning the war on drugs. Moreover, Sanders is acquainted with rapper Killer Mike, a Sanders supporter. Sanders sat down for an interview with him back in 2015, and the rapper joined Sanders on the campaign trail the following year.
