Bernie Sanders Agrees With Cardi B On The “Need To Strengthen Social Security”
Senator Bernie Sanders supported rapper Cardi B in a tweet, agreeing with her that Social Security needs to be fortified to ensure seniors can retire with “the dignity they deserve.”

Cardi B expressed her interest on Social Security last week in her interview with GQ, noting how she is engrossed in political science. “I love government. I’m obsessed with presidents. I’m obsessed to know how the system works,” she said.

She explained that she has a deep admiration for President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in particular, citing how “this man was suffering from polio at the time of his presidency, and yet all he was worried about was trying to make America great—make America great again for real. He’s the real ‘Make America Great Again,’ because if it wasn’t for him, old people wouldn’t even get Social Security.”
