In 2006, President Donald Trump‘s son and daughter – Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump – traveled to Ukraine to meet with government officials. In 2008, Trump Jr. returned to meet with developers about the hotel and golf resort.

Trump officials met with developers Dmitry Buriak and convicted felon Felix Sater. Both of whom have conducted business in Russia.
