There have been over 200,000 reported cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), though there are likely thousands more unreported cases. According to Worldometer, an independent online platform that aggregates international statistics, there are 124,134 active cases as of March 18, 2020. An additional 84,383 recovered and tested negative for the virus.
How Many People Have Coronavirus?
Italy currently has the highest number of active cases at 28,710. In the U.S., there are at least 9,200 confirmed active cases though that number is expected to increase as testing becomes more widely available.
