Trump puzzles everyone with nonsense word "covfefe" (May 31, 2017)
Most people have realized by now that Trump has a dubious relationship with proper English spelling and grammar, but this one truly had everyone confused and ultimately sparked jokes galore.
Trump’s original tweet in the early morning hours of May 31 read, “Despite the constant negative press covfefe.”
The final word — in addition to the fact it was cleary an incomplete statement — prompted Trump to delete the tweet without finishing his thought and instead relishing in everyone’s confusion over what his newly invented word means. (Maybe it’s part of his plan to “Make America Great Again?)
Many speculated he likely meant to say “press coverage,” but perhaps Trump is so angry he can’t even control which keys he types anymore. SAD!
