Trump implies Joe Scarborough is at fault for intern's death in 2001 (Nov. 29, 2017)
Donald Trump loves getting dirt on anyone who opposes him, and Joe Scarborough is no exception.
Just moments after news broke of NBC firing The Today Show co-host Matt Lauer due to sexual harassment claims, the President called on MSNBC to terminate President Phil Griffin, as well as Morning Joe co-host Scarborough.
The reason for firing Scarborough? Trump claims he was partially to blame for the death of a young staffer while Joe was a Republican congressman in Florida in 2001 (his last year in office).
A local medical examiner at the time determined that the intern had collapsed of an undiagnosed heart condition and hit her head on the side of a desk, causing a fatal blood clot.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to comment on Trump’s tweet.
