President Donald Trump once again has challenged Joe Biden‘s mental fitness and called him “incompetent.”

In an interview with Fox News’ Chris Wallace on Sunday, Trump made a few controversial statements, questioning Biden’s competence and mental fitness to be a president.

“Let Biden sit through an interview like this, he’ll be on the ground crying for mommy,” Trump told Wallace. “He’ll say, ‘Mommy, mommy, please take me home.’”

When Wallace asked Trump whether he thinks Biden is senile, Trump responded: “I don’t want to say that.” He added: “To be president, you have to be sharp and tough and so many other things. He doesn’t even come out of his basement.”

Trump then proceeded further attacking Biden’s cognitive abilities saying he “can’t put two sentences together” and said Biden is “mentally shot” and “not competent to be president.”

When Wallace told Trump that a recent Fox News poll suggested more people supported Biden, Trump called the polls “fake” and said Fox News polls were “among the worst.” The president noted the cognitive test he previously said he “aced” and challenged Wallace to take it.

“Well, I’ll tell you what, let’s take a test. Let’s take a test right now. Let’s go down, Joe and I will take a test. Let him take the same test that I took,” he said.

Wallace then interjected and said he took the test himself and thought it was not the “hardest test,” saying there was a picture that asked to identify an elephant. Trump called it a “misrepresentation.”

“The first few questions are easy, but I’ll bet you couldn’t even answer the last five questions,” Trump said. “I’ll bet you couldn’t, they get very hard, the last five questions.”

“Well, one of them was count back from 100 by seven,” Wallace said.

The last questions are in fact, are “What day is it?” and “What city are you in?”

Trump has previously made attempts to challenge Biden’s mental fitness, nicknaming him “Sleepy Joe.”

The Biden campaign hit back at Trump’s attacks. “He lurched from smear to smear, all while being forcefully corrected on most, including the lie that Joe Biden wouldn’t keep the American people safe and supports defunding the police — which has been fact checked into oblivion over the last month,” Kate Bedingfield, Biden’s deputy campaign manager, said in a statement.

In a June 30 press conference, Biden commented on Trump’s repeated attempts to attack him, saying: “This president talks about cognitive capability. He doesn’t appear to be cognitively aware of what’s going on.”
