WATCH: Melania Trump Booed By High School Students At ‘Be Best’ Opioid Awareness Youth Summit

First Lady Melania Trump was booed for a full minute in Baltimore Tuesday while giving a speech at the University of Maryland to high school students as part of her “Be Best” campaign.

The audience continued cross-talking and ridiculing her in the auditorium after the booing subsided.

Indifferent to the loud and mocking audience, Trump continued her five-minute speech.

“Thank you to all of the students who are here. I am so proud of you for the bravery it takes to share that you have been strongly affected by the opioid epidemic in some way, Trump stated amid persistent cross-talking in the Baltimore auditorium.

“I hope that the knowledge you gain here will help you tackle the tough decisions you may be faced with, so that you can live a healthy and drug-free life,” she told the students.

Trump then went on to deliver a full speech to the Baltimore youth. She directly invited them to join her “Be Best” campaign and urged them to be hands-on involved.

The “Be Best” campaign that Trump frequently works with focuses on children’s well-being, online safety and opioid abuse.

Trump told the students, “get involved and be part of the solution.”

When Trump wrapped up the speech, she wished the crowd happy Thanksgiving, and said, “Be safe. May God bless you, your families and the United States of America.”
