Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson predicted that former President Donald Trump will be indicted following the FBI’s search of his Mar-a-Lago residence last week in connection with a Justice Department investigation into illegally moved classified White House documents.

“There’s nothing to see here, that’s the line,” he said.

Republican leaders like Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) “will “say the same thing when the Biden Justice Department or some other state agency under their influence finally does what you know they’re going to do, and that’s indict Donald Trump.”

“Obviously, they’re going to do that,” Carlson added. “Who knows how, maybe they’ll produce surveillance video from Mar-a-Lago, apparently they’ve already subpoenaed that.”

The investigation into the Trump administration’s classified documents began in February when the National Archives called on the Justice Department to open an investigation into whether or not Trump violated the Presidential Records Act, which requires former Presidents to turn in all documents and records from their administration, after locating 15 boxes of classified records at Mar-a-Lago.

The FBI found 11 sets of top secret documents in their search last week, with some of them pertaining to nuclear information.

Trump called for the temperature to be “brought down in this country,” adding that
“If there is anything we can do to help, I, and my people, would certainly be willing to do that,” during an appearance on Fox News.

“You can feel it, even Donald Trump feels it. Maybe for the first time in his life, Donald Trump seems sincerely interested in lowering the temperature, not only for his own sake, but for the country’s,” Carlson said. “He’s right. It’s not good. This could get very bad, very fast.”
