Former President Donald Trump‘s blog, From the Desk of Donald J. Trump, has officially been shut down and will not be returning only a month after its launch. The news has been confirmed by his senior aide, Jason Miller. “It was just auxiliary to the broader efforts we have and are working on,” Miller told CNBC.

The blog was created in the wake of Trump’s social media ban from prominent sites such as Facebook and Twitter, following the January 6 riots in the Capitol, after claims he was using the site to incite an angry mob.

Many speculate that the move to shut down the blog is in anticipation of the former president unveiling his own social media platform or joining a different platform. Both options have been suggested by senior advisors. Responding to a Twitter user about the prospect, Miller said, “Yes, actually, it is. Stay tuned!”
