Ahead of his scheduled State of the Union address on Tuesday night, President Donald Trump defeated his 2020 Iowa Republican caucus opponents in a landslide, kicking off his 2020 reelection bid.
Trump won 97.1 percent of the vote. Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld, who polled in second place, at 1.3 percent, continues to run a long-shot challenge against Trump. Weld said he is not worried about the result. He noted that the New Hampshire primary will determine the 2020 presidential race, and ultimately determine whether he can unseat Trump.
