Senior Advisor to Donald TrumpSteven Miller said on Wednesday that the former president considered making “a little news” by speaking out against Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry for their recent Oprah interview.

“When I was talking to the president this morning,” Miller said to Steve Bannon on his podcast Wednesday, “he’s like, ‘Yeah, she’s no good. I said that and now everybody’s seeing it. But you realize if you say anything negative about Meghan Markle you get canceled. Look at Piers,’” Miller said, in reference to Piers Morgan, host of Good Morning Britain, who quit his own show after saying Markle’s interview was untruthful.

With his largest megaphone, Twitter, gone, Trump has toyed with various means to stay relevant. Trump and his lawyers sent a cease-and-desist order to the Republican National Convention last Sunday demanding the organization stop using Trump’s likeness for merchandise and outreach. The move garnered a shrug from the RNC, which correctly responded that since is a public figure, Trump’s image is not protected by copyright.

“Politics is his hobby and he’s having fun with his hobby in between his rounds of golf,” a former Trump adviser told Politico. “His big test is does he run again? Because if he doesn’t, you’ll see people lose interest in the guy in the next hour. As long as he plays the theatrics he’s going to run again, he still garners attention and creates headlines.”
