Former President Donald Trump reportedly believes that he will be returning to the Oval Office in August. Trump supporters have been spreading false rumors about the former president’s “reinstatement,” all of which have been encouraged by Trump.
Trump himself has been making claims that “he expects he will get reinstated by August,” as the President of the United States, according to a new report in the New York Times. This claim was made after the idea of a coup that was promoted by Trump’s former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. The call for a military coup, similar to the one that occurred in Myanmar, was made at the QAnon Convention in Dallas this weekend. Shortly after, Flynn made a statement insisting he was “misquoted” and that he was not calling for a coup.
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has supported this conspiracy theory by making uncorroborated claims of the 2020 election results being overturned by the Supreme Court in order to put Trump “back in office.”
