Donald Trump has identified four women as potential running mates in the 2024 Presidential election.
Trump reportedly would like to broaden his appeal to white suburban women. He believes bringing a female Vice Presidential candidate on his campaign would make him more appealing to other white women.
According to internal conversations, Trump has brought up former losing Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, former ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley, Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as potential VPs.
The ideal VP would also be exceptionally loyal to his cause.

The Trump campaign’s discussions allegedly identified weaknesses in all four candidates. Trump’s staff believes that Lake may try her own presidential run and outshine the former president. Haley and Sanders have both reneged on endorsing Trump’s 2024 campaign. Haley is currently his only announced competitor. Noem is considered the least recognizable candidate.
Trump’s team didn’t comment on the likelihood of any of the candidates but offered a warning to media outlets who tried to guess.
“Anyone who thinks they know what President Trump is going to do is seriously misinformed and trying to curry favor with ‘potential’ V.P. candidates,” said Steven Cheung, the Trump campaign spokesperson, in a statement. “President Trump will choose his running mate on his own time, and those who are playing the media game are doing so at their own peril.”
