Trump Refuses To Endorse Mike Pence For 2024 Presidential Bid, Donald Trump Jr. Rumored To Run

President Donald Trump on Sunday again refused to explicitly endorse Vice President Mike Pence for a 2024 presidential run, further fueling rumors that Donald Trump Jr. is planning a bid that year.

The president had initially declined to endorse Pence for president in 2024 in a Fox News interview, and was then asked about this in a separate interview on NBC’s Meet the Press.

“Well it’s far too… look, I love Mike. We’re running again,” Trump said. “But you’re talking about a long time [from now]. So you can’t put me in that position.”

Pence himself recently said in an appearance on CNN that he was not disappointed by Trump’s refusal to endorse him and added the pair are concentrated on winning re-election in 2020.

Trump Jr., the president’s oldest 41-year-old son who frequently makes appearances at rallies and other events led by his father, has been speculated in recent weeks to run for president in 2024 or later. According to Raw Story, the president’s other son Eric Trump recently said in an interview that he foresees the emergence of a Trump family dynasty in politics.

Former White House economic adviser Gary Cohn also said at one point that he believed Ivanka Trump could run for president someday.

On Saturday, Donald Trump Jr. commented on a video shared on Twitter that showed several campaign signs with his father’s name and forthcoming years, like “Trump 2024, Trump 2028, Trump 2032,” until the presidential campaign signs reach years well into the future.

The president’s eldest son mocked the liberal media for being outraged over the clip, which Trump first shared on Twitter on Friday.

“As always they take the bait and lose their minds,” Trump Jr. wrote.

In an interview on Fox News last week, Trump Jr. said he believes none of the 2020 Democratic presidential candidates fully understand the needs and priorities of the American people the way his father does.
