Pirro, ex-husband of Fox News host Jeanine Pirro, served 11 months in prison after his conviction in 2000. Jeanine Pirro has consistently supported Trump during his presidency and widely believed to have influenced Trump’s decision.
Pirro’s is one of the 143 pardons and commuted sentences Trump issued on his last day as president. Pirro’s pardon is one of several being heavily criticized among other pardoned allies like Steve Bannon, who allegedly defrauded donors from a fund to support the wall along the Mexican border.
