The Trump Organization is requesting a break on its monthly lease payments on its Washington, D.C. hotel.

President Donald Trump‘s International Hotel is located the Old Post Office building, a government-owned property on Pennsylvania Avenue between the White House and Capitol building. The hotel is currently paying a monthly rent of $267,653 to the General Services Administration.

Eric Trump, one of the President’s sons, confirmed the request to the New York Times, adding that they wanted to know what level of relief the GSA was providing other federal tenants.

“Just treat us the same,” Eric Trump told the Times. “Whatever that may be is fine.”

The coronavirus pandemic has hit the tourism industry hard, as non-essential travel and international travel became banned.

The Trump Organization properties have lost over a million dollars in revenue every day. The company has furloughed nearly 2,000 employees across the nation due to revenue being drastically cut.
