President Donald Trump continued blasting his November election opponent, Joe Biden, claiming he will take China’s side if he wins the election.

In an interview with conservative talkshow host Hugh Hewitt, Trump claimed China will “own” the U.S. if Biden wins the election.

“China will own the United States if this election is lost by Donald Trump,” Trump told Hewitt. “If I don’t win the election, China will own the United States. You’re going to have to learn to speak Chinese, you want to know the truth.”

Trump has repeatedly blamed China for their slow measures to keep the coronavirus pandemic from spreading at its initial stage. Trump has raised tension with Beijing, continuously calling the coronavirus “the China virus,” calling for holding the country accountable for spreading the infection. Most recently, the administration closed the Chinese consulate in Houston and held a high-profile visit with a Taiwanese official. Trump also banned Chinese parent companies of the apps TikTok and WeChat from operating in the U.S.

In the same interview, Trump was asked to comment on former national adviser John Bolton‘s claims in his tell-all book. Bolton alleged that Trump discussed Chinese detention camps for Uyghurs in western China with Chinese President Xi Jinping and encouraged Xi to go ahead with it. Trump denied Bolton’s charges.

“Who would ever say a thing like that? He made it up. He made up everything,” Trump said. “John Bolton is a sick person. And John, and he’s not a smart person.”

On Monday, at his news press conference, Trump made similar comments targeted at Biden.

“Iran will make a deal with us a month after the election if we win,” Trump said. He added that Biden’s victory is Iran’s “greatest dream in the world.”

“They will own this country. China will own this country. North Korea will own this country,” Trump said.
