Trump Mulls Using Air Force One To Stage 2024 Campaign Announcement On Inauguration Day

As President-elect Joe Biden continues with his transition preparations, President Donald Trump has vowed to outshine Biden on Inauguration Day, floating the idea of a White House departure on Marine One and a final Air Force One flight to Florida.

Sources told Axios that Trump plans to fly to Floria on Air Force One to stage a rally while Biden would be sworn in virtually in a socially distanced inauguration on Jan. 20.

The president wants to steal attention from Biden. It would also be an attempt by Trump to boycott the president-elect’s inauguration.

Under current Trump administration blueprints, on Jan. 20, Trump would depart the White House in Marine One, then he would take Air Force One to Florida.

While in Florida, Trump would address supporters while holding a pro-Trump rally, which would be scheduled at the same time as Biden’s inauguration.

A White House spokesman, Judd Deere, told Axios, “Anonymous sources who claim to know what the President is or is not considering have no idea. When President Trump has an announcement about his plans for Jan. 20, he will let you know.”

Last week, it was reported that Trump was planning to announce his candidacy for the 2024 election on Inauguration Day.
