Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) is in the process of deciding whether or not she is going to run for a fourth term in the Senate, and former President Donald Trump has something to say about it.

“Senator Lisa Murkowski said she is still weighing whether she will run again for the Senate in Alaska. In other words, there is a chance that she won’t run! Wouldn’t that be great?” Trump said in a statement on Wednesday.

During Trump’s second impeachment trial stemmed from the Capitol attack in January, Murkowski was one of the seven Republicans in the Senate who voted in favor of impeaching Trump.

“If I can’t say what I believe that our president should stand for, then why should I ask Alaskans to stand with me?” Murkowski said at the time of the trial.

In addition to Murkowski, Trump also mocked Liz Cheney, one of 10 House Republicans to vote in favor of his impeachment.

“So many people are looking to run against Crazy Liz Cheney — but we only want one,” Trump said. “She is so far down in Wyoming polls that the only way she can win is numerous candidates running against her and splitting the vote. Hopefully, that won’t happen. I’ll make an Endorsement soon!”

On Wednesday, Cheney announced that she would not be supporting Trump if he decides to run in 2024.
