Trump Lists Enemies In The FBI Who He Says Committed ‘Treason,’ Doesn’t Object To Death Penalty

During a press conference Thursday, President Donald Trump accused former members of the FBI of treason for launching investigations into his activities.

Reporter Peter Alexander asked, “who specifically are you accusing of treason?” In response, Trump stated, “I think a number of people, and I think what you look is that they have unsuccessfully tried to take down the wrong person. If you look at Comey, if you look at McCabe, probably people higher than that.” Former FBI Director James Comey and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe were fired by Trump.

McCabe was fired by the agency two days before he was supposed to retire for leaking information during the 2016 election to the Clinton Foundation.

Trump continued, “if you look at Strzok, if you at his lover Lisa Page, his wonderful lover.” Peter Strzok was fired by the FBI after it was revealed he sent anti-Trump text messages to another FBI agent and current lover, Lisa Page.

“He talked about the insurance policy just in case crooked Hillary loses, and that didn’t work out to well for them… they wanted an insurance policy so that should she for any reason lose, remember? 100 million to one. Maybe he said 100 million to nothing,” Trump said. “Should she lose, [Strzok and Page] have an insurance policy, and we’ll get this guy out of office. That’s what they said and that’s what they meant. That’s treason.”

When reminded that treason is punishable by death, Trump refused to rule it out as a punishment.
