Christina Bobb — the attorney for former President Donald Trump who certified he had turned over all the classified documents to the government after the end of his administration — spoke recently to federal investigators.

On June 3, Bobb signed a letter attesting Trump’s legal team had done a “diligent search” and all relevant documents had been returned as requested by a subpoena filed in May.

The certification would be proven untrue when the FBI determined the letter was not accurate and conducted a search at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. The investigators found hundreds of classified documents that should have been turned over to the National Archives.

Bobb met last week investigators in Washington and shared information that could help to expand the scrutiny into Trump’s failure in getting documents back.

The attorney told agents she did not draft the letter she signed. Instead, Evan Corcoran, drafted it and told her to sign it.

She added she insisted that the document explicitly stated that she certified Trump had turned over the files “based upon the information that has been provided to me.”

Bobb said the person who provided the information was Corcoran.
