President Donald Trump announced on Saturday night that he would not host next year’s G-7 summit at his Doral Resort in Miami. Trump broke the news via Twitter. “Based on both Media & Democrat Crazed and Irrational Hostility, we will no longer consider Trump National Doral, Miami, as the Host Site for the G-7 in 2020,” he tweeted.
Democrats had threatened to use the Doral selection as another article of impeachment against Trump for violating the Emoluments Clause of the U.S. Constitution. Trump said that other locations include Camp David are now under consideration.
