Trump Criticizes Fox News Poll Showing Majority Supporting Impeachment: ‘They Suck’

President Donald Trump criticized Fox News for publishing a poll Thursday that showed the majority of voters supporting impeachment.

“Whoever their Pollster is, they suck,” Trump tweeted.

He wrote, “From the day I announced I was running for President, I have NEVER had a good @FoxNews Poll.”

In a continuation of the first tweet, Trump wrote, “With people like Andrew Napolitano, who wanted to be a Supreme Court Justice & I turned him down (he’s been terrible ever since), Shep Smith, @donnabrazile (who gave Crooked Hillary the debate questions & got fired from @CNN), & others, @FoxNews doesn’t deliver for US anymore. It is so different than it used to be.”

“Oh well, I’m President!” he added.

The poll showed a record high of 51% supporting Trump’s impeachment and removal, up nine points from July.

The same author who wrote about the results of this poll, also published a piece in July showing that approval of Trump on economy increased from 48-46% in May to 52%  in July, just one point shy of his 53 percent high last summer, contradicting Trump’s claim that Fox News has not shown him ever polling favorably.

The increase in support of Trump’s impeachment from July to now indicates a shift in public opinion after a series of revelations regarding Trump’s interactions with foreign leaders.

Democrats’ impeachment inquiry centers on Trump’s correspondence with Ukraine, and his phone call with the president of Ukraine where he seemingly pressured the government to investigate his political rival Joe Biden.

A few weeks later, Trump publicly suggested that China investigate Biden, drawing further bipartisan criticism.

Thursday, sixteen respected, conservative lawyers called for an “expeditious” impeachment investigation, collectively asserting that Trump abused the power of the presidency.

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan joined the board of Fox corporation and reportedly planned to use his position to “do something” about Trump.

“Paul is embarrassed about Trump and now he has the power to do something about it,” aFox executive told Vanity Fair.

It is unclear if Ryan’s new position has influenced the outlet’s coverage, but a shift in the relationship between the company and Trump has become more evident over the past weeks.
