Former President Donald Trump lashed out at American Jews on Sunday for lack of appreciation of his policies regarding Israel.

“No President has done more for Israel than I have,” Trump wrote on his social media platform, Truth Social. “Our wonderful Evangelicals are far more appreciative of this than the people of the Jewish faith, especially those living in the U.S. U.S. Jews have to get their act together and appreciate what they have in Israel — Before it is too late!”

It is unclear what brought on his comment.

Trump’s post was responded to with criticism from the Biden administration.

“Donald Trump’s comments were antisemitic, as you all know, and insulting both to Jews and to our Israeli allies,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told the media. “But let’s be clear, for years, for years now Donald Trump has aligned with extremists and antisemitic figures, and it should be called out.”

Jewish organizations, such as the Jewish Democratic Council of America, condemned Trump as well.

“American Jews got ‘their act together in 2020′ when 77 percent supported Biden. This won’t change because Jews view Trump and MAGA candidates as extremist-aligned threats to our security, democracy & values, as epitomized by this antisemitic screed,” CEO Halie Soifer wrote in a statement.

Jewish groups have long been upset by Trump as he once said that Jewish people who voted Democrat were “ignorant” or “disloyal” and said that Jewish Americans “don’t love Israel enough.” He also referred to Israel as “your country” when speaking at a White House Hanukkah event in 2018.
