President Donald Trump’s campaign will unleash an ad campaign on former Vice President Joe Biden in an aggressive effort to defeat his opponent this week.

Trump’s approval ratings have been dropping because of his administration’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic. To get his approval ratings back up, Trump’s campaign is choosing to attack Biden in hopes voters will see the race as a choice rather than running on Trump’s performance in his first term.

One of the commercials says Biden “coddles China.”

“Joe Biden won’t stand up to China,” the ad says. “He never has. He never will.”

Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said that on Thursday the campaign would “start pressing FIRE for the first time.”

The decision to air these ads was approved by Trump.
