Donald Trump Calls Female Reporter ‘Obnoxious’ & Tells Her To ‘Be Quiet’

President Donald Trump did not take kindly to reporters shouting questions at him on the White House lawn on Friday. He was recorded pointing to someone offscreen and saying, “Quiet,” before adding, “She’s so, she’s so obnoxious.”

CBS reporter Weijia Jiang said on Twitter that she was the one Trump had singled out among the crowd of reporters. She had asked him why he declared North Korea to no longer be a “nuclear threat,” noting that he has yet to answer the question.

Before telling Jiang to be quiet, Trump answered her question as to how he could defend North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-un’s human rights violations with, “Because I don’t want to see a nuclear weapon destroy you and your family.” Jiang gave him credit on Twitter for answering multiple questions before calling her obnoxious.

Critics point out that this is not the first time Trump has singled out a female reporter, though he has argued with male reporters in the past as well. According to Business Insider, they say Trump has attacked women in particular for their appearance, notably called out NBC reporter Katy Tur multiple times during his presidential campaign and called Hillary Clinton a “nasty woman.”
