During a rambling speech to GOP donors in Mar-a-Lago, mere hours before the Republican National Committee (RNC) donor retreat on Saturday night, former President Donald Trump ripped Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky) and called him a “dumb son of a b—h.”

Trump accused McConnell of not doing enough to defend him during the February impeachment trial.

In addition, Trump also went after McConnell’s wife, former Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, for resigning from her cabinet post after the Jan. 6 insurrection.

McConnell did not immediately respond.

Despite planning to limit the South Florida forum to discussing last year’s presidential election, Trump also attacked after former Vice President Mike Pence and leading federal infectious diseases expert, Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Within the 50-minute speech, Trump said that he was “disappointed” in Pence and mocked Fauci relentlessly.

Trump has begun to reemerge as a significant force in GOP politics after issuing endorsements for the 2022 midterm elections.
