Trump Angered By Mar-a-Lago Renovations Ordered By Melania Trump

Changes were made to President Donald Trump‘s private quarters in Mar-a-Lago, overseen by First Lady Melania Trump, but were not to his liking.

In preparation for Trump’s post-White House life, renovations have been made to make the approximately 3,000-square-foot space feel larger and updated. However, it did not appeal to Trump’s aesthetics, and he was also displeased with additional renovations to the property. He asked that pieces of the décor, which consisted of white marble and an abundance of dark wood, be removed.

Many of the details of the renovations were made by Melania Trump and her interior decorator, Tham Kannalikham. In other instances, Trump was not thrilled with some of the decorative updates to Camp David, also made by the First Lady.

The week between Christmas and New Year’s is typically the best part of the winter season, but some longtime members of the Mar-a-Lago club have been avoiding it because of the coronavirus pandemic.

However, despite the pandemic, there are still some crowded areas with an abundance of people.

At the beach club area by the pool, it is so crowded during the day that guests are arguing over available chairs. Trump sometimes makes special appearances around Mar-a-Lago, attending a wedding on Monday night to wave hello and congratulate the bride and groom.

Each year, Trump and his family attend a Mar-a-Lago black-tie New Year’s Eve party where guests pay thousands per ticket. The party is still set to take place Thursday night, reportedly at least 500 reservations have already been confirmed.

On Monday, the Florida Department of Health released new data regarding test positivity rates. Palm Beach County was at 10.38%, the highest since November 30 and an increase since December 15 at 8.42%. The state considers anything above 5% dangerous.
