Trump Addresses Mar-A-Lago Guests From Bandstand, Insisting Election Was Stolen

On Saturday, former President Donald Trump took to a bandstand in the ballroom of his Palm Beach golf club Mar-A-Lago to commend the GOP-led audit of Maricopa County’s 2020 election results, then announcing that he will be moving to his New Jersey golf club in Bedminster for the summer.

“Let’s see what they find. I wouldn’t be surprised if they found thousands and thousands and thousands of votes,” Trump said to spattering applause.

The Arizona Republican party enlisted Florida-based tech firm called Cyber Ninjas to analyze the audit’s results despite repeated accusations that the group’s CEO Doug Logan spread several false election conspiracy theories on his now-deleted Twitter account. In an April press conference, Logan told reporters, “It’s really, really important to us that we have integrity in the way we do this count and in the results that come out of it.”

“My concern grows deeper by the hour,” Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs (D) wrote in an email last month. “It is clear that no one involved in this process knows what they are doing, and they are making it up as they go along.”

“I’m very concerned this has ramifications for every state in the country,” Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman said in an interview Sunday. “This is politicizing an administrative process with no real structure or laws or rules in place to guide how it goes. Every time in the future the party in control loses, they will use some post-election administrative process to call it into question, and people will no longer have confidence that we have fair elections,” Wyman told the Washington Post.
