Former President Donald Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani is facing professional ethics charges by the disciplinary branch of the District of Columbia Bar for his role in overturning the 2020 election.

The action is over Giuliani’s support of a Trump campaign lawsuit that would have invalidated 1.5 million mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania if it hadn’t been dismissed.

The D.C. Bar claimed that Giuliani violated professional conduct “in that he brought a proceeding and asserted issues therein without a non-frivolous basis in law and fact for doing so” and “that he engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice.”

The filing comes after Giuliani, who was once No. 3 in the Justice Department, had already been suspended from practicing law in Washington, D.C., and New York over his involvement in overturning the election results.
