Lawrence O’Donnell Says Oligarchs Linked To Putin Co-Signed Trump’s Deutsche Bank Loans, Then Says He ‘Made Error In Judgement’
Russian oligarchs with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin co-signed Deutsche Bank loans to President Donald Trump, according to a single source “close to the bank” who spoke to MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell.
Trump has famously refused to release his taxes as all other modern presidential candidates have. The president’s lawyers are in court now trying to prevent Deutsche Bank from handing over his financial records to Democratic House investigators working on an impeachment investigation.
At the G7 Summit last weekend, Trump said that Putin had “outsmarted” former President Barack Obama when he seized Crimea in 2014.
On Wednesday, O’Donnell said he had “made an error in judgement” in revealing the information before NBC News had vetted the single-source story.
